Senior Match Report - Wed 30th vs Brinkworth

Basset Down's Seniors were away to Brinkworth Golf Club on Wednesday 30th July. Having won the home match at Basset Down comfortably, the tables were turned at Brinkworth, with the home side winning with a 51/2 to 1/2 victory. There were some close matches with two going to the last hole. The half point was gained by the pairing of Graham Bates and Graham Short, with Graham Short holing a 15 foot putt for a birdie winning the hole to rescue the half point. A welcome to Barry Rhodes and Steve Pearson who played their first matches for the team. The next Senior Match is an away match on the 14th August against Oaksey Golf Club. There is a sign up sheet on the noticeboard should you wish to play.
