IAN BOLT

PGA Professional - Ian Bolt

I was born in St Andrews, Scotland in 1952. My introduction to golf came at the age of 13 at Anstruther Golf Club. I became their youngest ever Club Champion at the age of 16. I turned professional in 1969 and was assistant to David Haslam at what is now Ogbourne Downs Golf Club.

My first professional post was at North Wilts Golf Club, where I stayed before going back to Ogbourne Downs G.C. for 10 years, followed by 19 years coaching at Cricklade Hotel and Country Club. I have now been at Basset Down Golf Complex for just under 9 years.

In the years I have spent at Basset Down, it has been great to see our Ladies Membership almost triple, mainly due to the success of the Tuesday morning Ladies Coffee Morning. I continue to enjoy teaching, and I look forward to helping each and everyone of you who may need my assistance.

Glenn Ralph

PGA Professional - Glenn Ralph

I have been involved in the game of golf both as a player and a coach for many years having played on the on the European Tour for 16 years and the European Seniors Tour for 7 years winning the Scottish Senior Open in 2009. I have played with many golfing greats such as Ernie Els, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo and Colin Montgomery to name but a few.

As a coach I have taught several European Tour players including a Tour winner and have been fortunate enough to spend many hours on the range alongside some of our best golf coaches like John Jacobs, David Ledbetter and Peter Cowan. Throughout this time I’ve acquired an in-depth knowledge and understanding on how the golf swing works and how to effectively implement changes to improve techniques. So whether you are a beginner or an experienced golfer, wanting help with your short game, long game, course management or club gapping I would be delighted to work with you to improve your game, reduce your score and improve your handicap.
