Buthlay Cup - Final League Match Results

On Saturday 26th July, Basset Down played our final league match at The Wiltshire needing a comprehensive win to secure a place in the Quarter Finals. Three matches were decided on the last hole with two going against us and one in our favour. A great 5up win by Tony Lewis and Mark Goodwin tipped the balance for an overall win 3.5 to 2.5 but one point short of securing 1st place. Our hopes rested on The Wiltshire on Sunday 27th to beat Broome Manor which they duly did winning 5:1 securing us 2nd place in the league and an away QF match, most likely at Whitley.
