New PGA Professional - Matt Law
We are delighted to announce that Matt Law will be joining the Basset Down Golf team as a new, full time Golf Professional from 1st September 2025.
Matt brings with him a wealth of experience, professionalism and proven success. Currently Head Golf Professional at The Bristol, he is widely respected for his coaching expertise and results-driven approach.
Matt’s journey in golf began at just 8 years old at Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort. By the age of 14, he had already reached a scratch handicap and set his sights on a future in professional golf. After completing his A-levels, he earned a golf scholarship to Texas, where his college team won the NJCAA National Championships. He also claimed victory in the NJCAA National Preview individual event.
On returning to the UK, Matt transitioned from playing on mini tours to a successful coaching career. A standout amateur in both the UK and US, Matt has built a reputation for clear, structured and personalised coaching that benefits beginners and advanced players alike.
What truly sets Matt apart is his commitment to continued learning and excellence. He regularly works with some of the world’s leading coaches and brings that knowledge into every session.
